"The cab drivers don't stick to their promise !!" Lijiang Warnings Or Dangers Tip by hooiluangoh

Lijiang Warnings and Dangers: 26 reviews and 17 photos

You may be told it cost RMB 60 er cab to get to the airport, including the toll of RMB 10 each way. Then when you are about to arrive, the driver changes his mind and wants to charge RMB 70. We had a driver by the surname of "He" (well many Naxi's share this surname) and he did that to us.

Or told it cost RMB 60 to visit the Jade Dragon mountains etc (commonly known as Route A") and it's up to you how you want to organise the trip and where you want to go around that area. But the truth is the driver gets a commission for the entrance fees you pay. So if you decide to, say, visit, the home of the author of "The Lost Horizon", which is on the way, but which does not charge admission fee, the driver will give all kinds of lame excuses not to take you there.
