Aqua Viva Pousada: "Worth Every Penny!" Top 5 Page for this destination Ilha Grande Hotel Tip by dharmabum222

When arriving at Abraao, we walked around the village and picked the Aqua Viva Pousada at random. We were so pleased with the clean rooms, spotless bathroom and the beautiful view! The price was about 110 reais per night during off season and while it was one of the more expensive pousadas on the island, it was still inexpensive by general world travel standards.
Unique Qualities: The breakfast as this quaint oceanfront pousada was remarkable...fresh bananas, papaya and watermelon, homemade rolls and incredible coffee. The view from the upstairs balcony is charming and relaxing and the cushy round chairs are the perfect place to read a book on a rainy evening before dinner.
Address: Make a left off of the ferry, walk along the water and you cannot miss it.
Comparison: more expensive than average
