Arena Hostel, now A&O Hostel: "A great Prague hostel, if you don't mind a walk!" Czech Republic Hotel Tip by reon80

We really enjoyed our stay at this hostel. The staff was incredibly helpful, giving us directions, calling us a cab (because we don't speak Czech), giving us info about the city. They did indeed have hot showers and we got to use the Internet for free, although I think they charge now.
We visited in the off season, so the two of us were all alone in a 30-bed dormitory; great for us, but you may want to request one of the smaller dormitories during the peak seasons.
The Hostel is near the main train station and you can easily catch the tram into town, but for those of you who don't have change for the tram or who just don't like public transport, it IS quite a hike into town (trust us, we did it 6 times). However, other than the location, its a really nice, cheap, clean place to stay, with very friendly people.
ONE NOTE: When following the below directions, make sure to go out the metro station exit near the tourist information center; if you go out another exit, the directions don't work. Basically, don't go toward a parking lot or an area that looks like there couldn't possibly be a hostel there:)

Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: From main train station, take red line metro to Nadrazi Holesovice. Exit station, turn right and follow tram tracks until end of street. Road goes left, follow it. Go under bridge and find stairs to the left. Go up stairs, hostel is right in front of you.
Price: less than US$20
