Park Hotel Limmassol: "I loved the location" Cyprus Hotel Tip by wadekorzan

Deciding where to stay while on Cyprus is an important question. It really depends on what you are looking for. If you are young (or young at heart) and really like a "party" atmosphere, then you had better stay in Agia Napa. Each area of Cyprus has a different atmosphere. I stayed at the Park Hotel Limmassol, which for me, worked out very very well. I like to rent cars and explore lots of different things rather than just lying on the beach for a whole week. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the beach, but I like many things. For this reason, Limassol worked out great because of its central location. It was easy for me to go from there to Agia Napa, to Nicosia (Lefkosia), to the western side of the island, or even into the mountainous interior.

Unique Qualities: The hotel is standard, but very clean and has a great location. Located in the more touristy area of Limassol, it is convenient because there are many small shops where you can buy basic necessities and stuff for the beach as well as souvenirs. There are also many different places to rent cars. The hotel is also located just next to the beach--just a small forest between the hotel and the beach so walking to the beach takes less than 5 minutes. It is not the nicest beach on Cyprus, but it's nice enough, and the pool of the hotel, though small, was quite nice. The restaurant generally has a buffet with food that is so-so and the entertainment, well, I did not care about that so much so it did not bother me that it was not very good. I had a nice room, very big and clean, near the beach, in a convenient area to explore the island. That's what I liked.
