"Desert Solitaire" Arches National Park Favorite Tip by caffeine_induced78

Favorite thing: This landscape called Arches National Park has gone from a place of several hundred annual visitors in the day of Edward Abbey to over a million in the present time. However - I truely recommened reading "Desert Solitaire," the book written by Edward Abbey in the late 60's when he was a Park Ranger at the then-unknown Arches National Monument. Reading his book made me recognize that he is a fellow "child of the west," who holds much of the same mindset as I do when it comes to approaching the environment and people we encounter. To see how we are out here - read this.
