Luggage and bags: Don't overpack--you might be walking with your luggage, so keep the amount of stuff you bring to a minimum. Large backpacks are the best and most practical.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Wear whatever you want--no worries--but you might want to bring your "cool" clothes if you want to blend in a bit.

Photo Equipment: Bring as much as film as possible or lots of memory if you bring a digicam.

Miscellaneous: Don't forget to bring voltage adaptors--and only if you have a transformer. Continental two-pin adaptors are necessary, and most electrical items without transformers will not take 220 volt electricity.
