"Basic Affordability right in the Waterfront" Breakwater Lodge Tip by glennkasner
Breakwater Lodge, Cape Town: 800 reviews and 10 photos
You won't find another hotel this close to the waterfront offering rates so low.
Unique Qualities: Built in a converted 19th-century prison on Portswood Ridge, the Breakwater certainly won't win any awards for charm or coziness. Its history is quite evident in the long, narrow corridors, which lead to tiny, sparsely furnished cells (sorry, rooms). Nevertheless, the rooms are clean and have TVs, phones, and tea- and coffeemakers. Ask for a room with a view of Table Mountain. www.breakwaterlodge.co.za. 327 rooms, 110 family units without bath. 2 restaurants, bar. AE, DC, MC, V.

Price Comparison: less expensive than average
