  Wyspianski's stained-glass windows
by gosiaPL

The church dates back to 1255 but after the fire of Krakow in 1850 it was rebuilt into a mixture of neo-romanesque and neo-gothic.
The must-see reason is the magnificent stained-glass and polychromes that are unusual for Catholic churches .

They were made by Stanislaw Wyspianski (1869-1907), a real genius and artist in several fields, who was way ahead of his contemporaries in creating these secessional patterns.

Please see the next two tips, and if you want some more, check my General tips with a close-up on one of the stained-glass windows.

Address: Plas Wszystkich Swietych Sq.
Directions: Exit the market through Grodzka St. At the first bigger crossroads you will see the church on your right (in a short distance).
