"Chinese Market" Markets Tip by biggeorge

Markets, Budapest: 10 reviews and 14 photos

One of europes largest markets , cheap clothes straight from the Trans Siberian Railway, home to most of the Triads and Ukrainian mafia ,hence the no guns, attack dogs or camera's of any kind signs on the entrances and the rent-a goons guarding it.

Once inside wander around the narrow covered stalls of one of the dodgiest places i've ever been. A bit of hungarian helps to keep the prices down, but everythings negotiable. Bloody exciting but not a good idea to visit by yourself.

If your lucky you'll find the dancing Ukrainian off licence where the shady former soviet characters congregate to drink Dreher and listen to Techno often long after the markets itselfs closed. This is definately hungaries dodgiest night out.

Address: District VIII -
Directions: Take the tram from outside Mcdonalds at Blaha Luzja ter heading east. Its just past the big cemetary next to the railway line.
