Britomart Train Station.

The Britomart Centre is Auckland's shiny new transportation centre/hub. Ironically, many years ago, the central train station was more or less in the same spot. However, it was shifted to the east of the city and an inconvenient walk away from the commercial heart, when business expanded. Now it's back, but underground, and I must say, looking smart. The problem is, Auckland's rail network is a bit of a joke compared to other cities around the world with about 1.2 million people. However, at least now you can step out of your train, take an esculator and be in the heart of the CBD, or right where most of the metropolitan buses originate their routes.
