Manly Ferry at Circular Quay - what a great trip
by warney

Situated 7 nautical miles from Sydney harbour is Manly and the best way to get there in my opinion is by either the Manly ferry or the Manly Jetcat.

The JetCat takes a fraction of the time taken by the ferry but I prefer the more sedate transfer! Give both a go! Tickets can be purchased at Circular Quay or manly for the return trip. prices are AU$5.80 one way (AU$11.60 return) for the ferry and AU$7.50 for the JetCat. Children travel cheaper at AU$2.90 on the ferry but no concs for the JetCat.

Sometimes the ferry doesn't run for some reason and they operate the JetCat for the same price - good deal when that happens - it's so much quicker!

You can also catch a water taxi or water limousine - these are a lot more expensive and can be booked through 'Water Taxis Combined'. (I don't have the prices unfortunately but you can find them in Circular Quay as you walk towards the Opera House)
