"Rainbows...a bonus of rainy days!" Tate Modern Tip by RowanGBR

Tate Modern, London: 154 reviews and 243 photos

This picture was taken by my mom from the Tate Modern, and shows how the views from art museums can be as gorgeous as the views within!

The Tate Modern is a mix of "shocking" modern art, interesting and unusual abstract art, and just plain weird! You can spend an enjoyable day wandering around, but make sure you get there early enough to avoid the crowds, later in the day there are too many people to easily look at everything, especially at weekends.

Just outside the museum, towards the river, is a wonderful pub, I can't remember the name, but just head towards the river and you can't miss it - a pint is always a good end to a day of culture!! During the summer you can take your drink outside and enjoy the river views.

The bridge at the bottom right of the picture is the Millenium Bridge, opened and swiftly shut as the human gait caused it to sway to such and extreme they thought it might collapse...I think they have fixed this now!!
