"Miami Airport Transportation" Miami Beach Transportation Tip by NJFamily

I made my way down to Miami beach by bus (The J line) which costs $1.25, plus an additional $.25 for a transfer which will let you change to any other bus up or down the length of the beach.

Advantages: 1) Got to see the longest contiguous collection of used car dealers I've ever seen in my life, 2) Met a charming fellow (who happened to be on the same plane as me from Newark) from Hawaii who had traveled about 15 hours straight to surprise his daughter for her 16th birthday

Disadvantages: 1) Had to wait 20 minutes for the bus, 2) If you've seen one used car dealer, you've seen them all.

On the other hand, I returned from the northern tip of Miami by Taxi:

Advantages: Met this most charming and pleasant Cuban refugee driver who not only took me to visit my friend, but came back 2 hours later to take me to the airport.

Disadvantage: $55 ($45 is the official fixed price rate to/from the airport, and in this case I probably tipped too little).
