Virgin Mary on top of the Cerro San Cristobal
by IIGUANA

On top of this hill there's a statue of the Virgin Mary overlooking the whole city. It can be seen from most points in the city.
This hill, one of the Parque Metropolitano, is the tallest one and you can take lots of pictures from the top. There's a small church and some artcraft. There's also a restaurant and lots, lots of tourists.
The easiest way to get up is to take the "teleferico". You can take it on the bottom and go straight up the top. They're small cable cars that go up the hill and you get some amazing views of the city.

Address: Parque Metropolitano
Directions: To get to the teleferico, take the subway (line 1), get off in Pedro de Valdivia station, walk towards the Mapocho river, cross the bridge and walk along Pedro de Valdivia Norte st. (5 blocks).
