Here a fountain, there a river
by iandsmith

Favorite thing: This attractive fountain, recalling Queen Elizabeth II visit in 1963, actually reminded me of Rome and the Piazza Nuovo where another famous fountain is dedicated to a number of rivers.
This one represents the Murray, symbolized by the aboriginal man and the ibis, the Torrens with the woman and swan and the Onkaparinga with another woman, this time accompanied by a heron.
Located in the park surrounding the CBD, it is almost adjacent to where the Glenelg tram terminates.

Fondest memory: It's a great photo opportunity as there are dozens of angles to get a nice shot in.
