This church was completed in 1735 by Kilian Dientzenhofer; its statues are work of Antonín Braun. Originally a church of a Benedictine Monastery, now belongs to the Czechoslovakian Hussite Church.
The monument in the centre of the Old Town Square that you can see in the picture represents Jan Hus, the Czech Republic's national hero who led the Hussite uprising against the nation's Roman Catholic leaders in the 15th century. -


Esta iglesia fue terminada en 1735 por Kilian Dientzenhofer; sus estatuas son obra de Antonín Braun. Originalmente la iglesia pertenecia a un monasterio benedictino, pero ahora pertenece a la iglesia checoslovaca Husita. El monumento en el centro de la plaza que puede verse en la foto representa a Jan Hus, el héroe nacional de la República Checa que condujo la sublevación de los Husitas contra los líderes católicos de la nación en el S XV.
