"The Pulpit" Chimney Rock Things to Do Tip by acemj

Just below the Chimney, you'll find some interesting rock formations that jut out over the mountain and offer gorgeous views over the valley, Chimney Rock Village, Lake Lure and up to the Chimney itself. In fact, there is a sign that proclaims this spot as the best for taking photos of the Chimney, but that really depends on the time of day. I was there in the morning and the light was right in front of me making it difficult to capture the Chimney from here. You best bet is to end up here in the afternoon or evening.
