There is a sarcophagus of hero of the two nations - Poland and America - Thaddeus Kosciuszko in a crypt of Wawel Cathedral.

He was born in eastern Poland (Lithuania now). He was Polish patriot, soldier and a military engineer educated at the military schools of Warsaw and Versailles.
He became one of the 18th century's greatest champions of American and Polish freedom. He made many significant contributions to the American Revolution including the fortifications at Saratoga and West Point.

There is Thaddeus Kosciuszko National Memorial in Pennsylvania, USA.
