"Metro" Metro Tip by eVg

Metro, Saint Petersburg: 84 reviews and 92 photos

Subway or "Metro" is definately a recognizeble achievement for St. Petersburg. Some staions feature sculptures, interesting architectural designs and structure. Almost all of the stations feature escalators, some will take up to 3-5 min to get down. It can be a cool way to check out people who are going in to opposite directions. However, always look out for people who run down the escalators, (usually to the left side of it). The train-cars themselves are separated, (in most stations) by doors, so to avoid any access to the tracks. There would be an announcement upon closing of the doors. The train map is relatively easy, each line has a different color and most stops are named after the area/street of the stop.
The "metro" is a safe way to travel, unless some rendom mis chief might accure.

Type: Subway/Metro
