Grand Canal and water taxi, Venice, Italy

In Venice you need to get around either on foot, or by any type of transportation that can float on water. The two main types are the water bus and the taxi. And just like their counterparts on dry land they have "stations", "stops" and "tickets" or "fixed rates between points". You can see the canal in this pic and you see many small boats that look similar, well those are the taxi, and you can find them at almost every point where the dry streets meet the watery streets. So if you need to get somewhere fast, that is the way.
