The Buda cable car is a 2-track car that runs up for a 100m to connect the Buda end of the Chain bridge and Szent Gyorgy square in the Castle District. The carriages were originally driven by a steam engine. It is also possible to climb the whole way up on foot because there stone ramparts that flank both sides of the line. The track was destroyed during the World War II and went back into operation in 1986.

Address: Szent Gyorgy ter and Clark Adam ter
Directions: Next to the bridge at Clark Adam Square
