Sleepers are nothing like the luxorious sleepers or couchettes found in Europe.

2nd Class sleepers don't have doors and usually have 6 (co-ed) beds.

1st class compartments have doors and only have 4 beds ... but they're very limited in supply.

And despite what anyone tells you about buying any ticket first and then trying to upgrade onboard, my experience is that while it is possible, it's a very trying experience.
