Granbury Things to Do: 59 reviews and 77 photos

This eatery has some history. In Granbury's early days, this building was a saloon, the upstairs was said to be used as a hotel. There is a legend here that says that John Wilkes Booth (Abraham Lincoln's assassin) tended bar at this saloon. He was supposed to have escaped from the Feds and made his way to Texas, changing his name to John St Helen.

This building was built by A.F. Gordon in 1885 originally as a merchandise store before being turned into a saloon. The lower level has been a restaurant since 1970.
