This may seem like a rich and difficult-to-make dish. However, I have enjoyed it all my life. Owens seafood Restaurant in Nags Head was serving this to me as young as 6 years old (I put it on my Virginia page because the dish originated in Norfolk, Virginia). There are only four components to this: crab meat (backfin is best, but if you're minding your dollars, euros, reais, pesos, or whatever, use claw meat instead), shrimp, scallops, and butter. Sautee the seafood in a pan with butter, but only do it for no more than 3 minutes because nothing is worse than scallops with a rubbery texture.
