"1) Kathmandu. Walk through..." Kathmandu Tip by softadvtr

Kathmandu, Nepal: 62 reviews and 112 photos

1) Kathmandu. Walk through Durban Square and put yourself back into the 1300's. There is one tiny courtyard where you may catch a quick glimpse of an actual living goddess! (We did!) Take plenty of film. There are two Durban Squares; one in Kathmandu and one in an adjacent town. Both are worth while.
2)Go on an Elephant Jungle Safari in search of a tiger or the rare one horned rhinos. Temple Tiger and Tiger Tops are the two main lodges. Safe, soft adventure excitement.
3) In Pokhara, ask at the hotel desk for a pre-sunrise tour out of the valley to watch the fantastic sunrise over the Himalayas. It is a sight that can't be captured on film but will be forever etched in your heart. (Take photos anyway)
There is nothing like these three sights anywhere else in the world.
