"The BTS elevated train" Bangkok Transportation Tip by SirRichard

This modern open air subway net is definetly the best way to avoid the Bangkok traffic jams!! BUT it only goes by the modern (east) part of the city, so U might have to connect with buses or tuctuc or boats if you are going to the touristic old center.
It's got (so far) 2 lines, which cross in Central Station (Siam).
You can buy individual tickets or 1 day tickets. Prices depend on the distances, running from 10 to 40 bahts (1 USD= 40 Bahts). 1 day passes cost 100 Bahts.
It is very convenient if you are staying at Sukhumvit Area (Nana Station). From there you can reach the river and take a boat directly to the center (Royal Palace and so).
