"Fernando De Noronha" Brazil Off The Beaten Path Tip by aeroarce

Brazil Off The Beaten Path: 114 reviews and 141 photos

This is one of the most beautiful islands I-ve ever been. It is an archipielago ot 26sqkm about 350kms away from Natal and 500 from Recife in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.

In the Island the most impressive of all is its sea life. from an easy look from the rocks you can see dolphind, tutles and tons of coloured fishes, it is a snorkeling and dive paradise, also good fror surfers.

The Archipielago is a National park and a natural Protected area and belongs to the Pernambuco State.

As it is very protected they regulate the amount of tourist that can be there at once and also they charge a preservation tax that you have to pay on arrival and the ammount deppends on how long is your stay, as more days you stay more money you pay per day, any way my 3 days fee wass no more than 25 USD.

the almos only way of reaching the island is by air, its connected with natal 2 and recife and flights are not cheap.
its a exclusive place but worth doing the effort.
