  Xelmirez Palace
by micas_pt

The Xelmirez Palace is attached to the Cathedral. It was built between the 12th and 13th centuries, by request of Bishop Xelmirez in order to replace the former Bishop's residence. It was later refurbished, and it is nowadays considered to be one of the finest examples of its style.

It is very simple seen from the outside but inside there are some majestic rooms such as the Weapons Parlor and the Banquets Parlor, as well as an interesting Medieval kitchen.

Address: Praza do Obradoiro (Obradoiro Square)
Directions: In the Cathedral's square.
