This 100 foot tower affords a wonderful 360 degree view of the surrounding landscape. It was built in 1922 and used as a lookout tower for forest fires until modern technology and the increased population deemed it unnecessary. In 1967, it was opened to the public as the Dorset Scenic Observation Tower. Check out the website for the hours of operation. The cost of admission is $2 per vehicle. It is a great place to view the fall colours.

Directions: Dorset is located east of Huntsville and west of Haliburton, southwest of Algonquin Provincial Park. The tower is located just north of Dorset on Hwy 35.
