The desert was founded in 1994 and is an imitation of a desert in Arizona , North America. Ittries to give an idea how life is in the sonora desert.

This desert as you might think doesn't only contain sand , but has mainly rocks in it.

The animals found here are highly adjusted to the large temperature differences and often active during nighttime.

Me , what I like the most are the free flying birds (caracara - polyborus plancus) , and many large cactuses in a natural setting.
