  A Tongue-less lion
by DrewV

The Chain Bridge is guarded on each side by wonderfully sculpted lions, perfect in every detail except for one fatal flaw.

The story goes like this: when the lions were unveiled and the bridge opened, the citizens of Budapest had a huge party. Everyone admired the perfect lions; however, one little girl looked up and found something curious. She turned to her mother and asked: 'Why doesn't the lion have a tongue?'

The mother looked and was amazed: the lion indeed had no tongue. The mother then told her friends, and they told their friends, and soon the word spread all over Budapest. The lions had no tongue. The sculptor, ashamed and humiliated, threw himself from the bridge. Yeah, it's a sad story. Welcome to Budapest.
