The Commonwealth Cemetery is a wonderful cemetery on top of a hill overlooking Torino di Sangro. It's possible to drive there , or else you can take a lovely walk through the wood and reach it on foot (ask for the cimitero inglese). It's a cemetery dedicated to all the Commonwealth soldiers who died in this part of Italy during WWII: they were about 2500 and came from the UK, Canada, South Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand.
The starting point, both by car or on foot, is the small town of Torino di Sangro. You can catch a train there from Lanciano, or come by car. In this case take the A14 exit at Lanciano, then road 524 towards Fossacesia, road 16 "Adriatica" for 4 km southward to Vasto, after the bridge on the Sangro river there's a turning to Torino di Sangro
