"Swedish television" Top 5 Page for this destination Sweden Things to Do Tip by Maline

One great thing when you are in a foreign country is watching their television programmes, or at least I think so!

In Sweden you have several national channels. Two of them are non-profit, non-commercial so called "public service" channels. These are SVT. (Channels 1 and 2) (SVT means Sveriges Television, Swedish Television.)

Then there is commercial channel 3 covering also Denmark and Norway.
Channel 4 is a national commercial channel, and channel 5 as well.
If you understand English, you can watch TV in Sweden without problems since all the foreign programs are subtitled in Swedish, and not dubbed. And almost all of our foreign television input comes from anglo-saxon countries mainly the US.
