Mongolia is well known for Chingiis Khan and the Trans-Siberian railway but most of Mongolia is wide open expanses of grass or mountainous areas.

So they would take their dead far from the Ger camps and toss them in a field or on the side of a mountain. After the revolution, the Soviets largely banned this practice.
