U Zlate Hrusky (At the Golden Pear): "NOT up to its reported reputation!" U Zlate Hrusky Tip by weismant

U Zlate Hrusky, Prague: 1 reviews and 0 photos

Visited Sept 2003. Lovely location. Service was was very poor, and slow to the point of sparking discussions with neighboring diners. The duck dish ordered did not seem to have been duck at all, but perhaps chicken. Although we confirmed up front that credit cards were accepted (displayed on the door), when paying the bill we were informed that credit cards were now not being taken. The processing equipment was working but they just wanted cash. This necessitated a half mile trek in the rain to an ATM, while leaving my wife to sit at the table to receive great sympathy from other diners having similar problems. Ranks among the very worst restaurant "experiences" that we have ever had in any city.
