"GETTING AROUND.....PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION..." Tram Tip by eden_teuling
Tram, Amsterdam: 10 reviews and 10 photos
Favorite thing: AMSTERDAM has 17 tram lines, 37 bus lines and 3 subway lines, all of those routes are shown on a free map provided by the GVB.
The Circle Tram - line 20 - is especially attractive for tourists, as it provides a very cheap tour of the city, linking all MAJOR ATTRACTIONS.
Single trip tockets are available from the conductor on most tram routes, or, more economically, purchase a multi-trip ticket (known as a STRIPPENKAART) at the GVB, Amsterdam Tourist Office (VVV), most tobaconists and supermarkets.
The GVB Publik Transportations Office is in front of Centrral Station where you will find a route map and an English - Language guide to the ticketing system.
There is also a beautiful new one on track too, inside the station, which is open the longest (8.00AM - 8 PM)
Or call for info: GVB - tel. 0900 92 92
