"Ponte Vecchio" Ponte Vecchio Tip by leffe3

Ponte Vecchio, Florence: 190 reviews and 326 photos

Lucky to survive destruction by the retreating Germans in WWII in 1944 (the only bridge to be thus spared), the Ponte Vecchio was built in 1345 and is one of the few in the world that house people as well as shops.

One of the best views of the Ponte Vecchio is from the Uffizi Gallery.
