If you took a picture which is too dark or too light you will be able to correct it a little using appropriate software for editing your picture.
You must buy a programme (some are shareware = you can use them free for example 30 days) or use one of freeware programmes to edit your pictures.

I usually use one of basic software tools called gamma correction to correct lightness/darkness of a picture. Look at my picture and compare it with the previous one. Hmm... which one looks better?
