The height of a Guilin trip is volage down the Lijiang River, which is a 83-km-long waterway connecting Guilan and Yangshuo. The banks are lined with extradinary hill peaks and bamboo forest. Fishers can be seen in small boats, along with picturesque villages.

Some caves in and around Guilin offer more unique adventures for tourists. Topping the list is the Ludi (Reed-Flute) Cave. It was named thus because once the locals used clumps of reeds at the cave entrance to make musical instruments. Inside the cave, stalactites and stalagmites are reflected in multi-colored lighting, creating a fantastic view and sometime casting a mysterious feeling.

Another fun place of Guilin is the Elephant Trunk Hill, which actually resembles an elephant (about 50 meter high) dipping into the Li River.

Address: Oh, i mean, the river is the river.
Directions: Ask for cruise on the river. Everybody knows it, and unfortunately i can't remember the address.
