this restaurant is primarily mexican in what it serves (fajitas and chimichangas) but does serve a lot more from english fish n' chips to italian linguini to chinese sweet n' sour chicken - all in all a restaurant that will serve a meal from nearly any country you can mention. and their portions are HUGE a small plate was one that was one as long as your own arm and they still got bigger!!!
its ambience is very relaxed and so are the staff who are very friendly and willing to pander to nearly every whim although this did mean the food did take a slight while to arrive at our table.
downstairs did seem very busy with seating for around 100+ people and the bar which was buzzing with lots of people around it but upstairs had seating for couples for quiet dates and one long table for parties of 10 or more guests.
now the important bit - cost.
i was with a party of 10 people who all had a three course meal, starter, main course and dessert and an average of 3 drinks each and it came to a total of just under $250 -an average of $25. which wasnt bad considering a main meal was between $10 and $20, starters between $3.50 and $8.90 and afters anwhere around the $5 mark. and pints of beer around $5
Favorite Dish: i would reccomend anything from this restaurant - as a party of 10 we ordered 10 different meals split them up equally and shared the beautiful food between us and it was the best and then 10 different puddings came and that was just superb again.
one of the best places i have ever eaten anywhere in the world.
Address: around the market area(cant remember where sorry!)
Price Comparison: more expensive than average
Directions: from the international hostel turn right past rideau centre and go to mcdonalds - turn right there towards the market square and then carry on up to the top, take a final left and follow up (i think its around there somewhere)
