"Zagreb Cathedral" Cathedral - Katedrala Marijina Uznesenja Tip by american_tourister

  Alaways scaffold, everywhere I go

Like most major European cities this one has a Cathedral. It looks like many of them do but as it was behind the Iron Curtain for so long it adds a bit of fascination.

Russia used religious structures for grain storage and the like. Yugoslavia did not. The churches remained open and religion was practiced. It was not encouraged but it was not prohibited either.

Address: Kaptol
Directions: You can see it from anywhere in town.
