"RADOVNA VALLEY" Radovna Valley Tip by mtncorg
Radovna Valley, Slovenia: 1 reviews and 4 photos
The open pastures of the Radovna occupy an area at the lower ends of both the Kot and Krma Valleys. The lands have been settled for centuries and the old farmhouse of the Pocar family can be visited, enabling you to get a glimpse into the hard life of long ago - see my page in Triglav nacionjal park.
The valley narrows again as it pushes downward to the east and the Bled region - this is also the route of a popular mountain bike route/see the website. You pass old mills and burnt homes - destroyed by Nazis in the Second World War - finally coming out to the Vintgar Canyon where the river rushes through narrow canyons and runs over a dramatic falls.
Directions: The valley is just south of Mojstrana on a good gravel road
