See my WWI walks travellogue for more on this and Krn peak. Suffice it to say that the battlefields are still present high up atop this 2164 meter tall peak. The rusted remants of armies past, tunnels, bunkers and trenches. You can easily fit this peak into an itinerary with Krn Peak or you could spend the entire day wandering about, using the hut atop Krn peak - Gomisckovo Zavetisce - as a base. The views from up here are stupendous. Most of southern Slovenia is here. The Julians and much of NE Italy can be seen. The Adriatic to the Kanmiske-Savinskje Mountains is there.
