Cheese Pastie, Chips & Mushy Peas
by steventilly

The Old Keswickian is my favourite chip shop in the whole world. Not only the take-awys, but the eat-in too. In fact, it's eat-in that we do most often. The food is always fresh and tasty and well prepared. It's not cordon bleu, just good honest food, at a decent price.

Favorite Dish: I always have chips, cheese pasty and mushy peas, with bread & butter and a pot of tea. It's kind of "traditional" English Fish & Chip meal, but without the fish! Sometimes Sue has the veggie burger instead of the pasty.
If anyone ever goes here and has "soup of the day" let me know. For as long as I've been going (18 years) there's always been a notice saying "no soup today". I'm starting to think that really it's a joke and they never did soup anyway! :-)
