Without any doubt, a must in Brussels is Grand'Place, Brussels' central square.

Grand'Place (Groote Markt in Flemish) is surrounded by lots of historical buildings. Each one represents one of the sectors of trade in Brussels. So, i.e., shoemakers have a building. French writer Victor Hugo lived in one of those. The big building which seems to be the Cathedral...isn't! It is the Hotel de Ville de Bruxelles. Or, in French, the Mayor's office.

There are lots of restaurants on Grand'Place, but they're always full of tourists. Also, they are not cheap at all.
