We took an approx. 8 hour tour from Bangkok to see the world famous bridge on the River Kwai, built during world war II by the prisoners of war. The bridge is located near the town of Kanchanaburi 130 kms west of Bangkok. We visited the graves of an estimated 9,000 Allied soldiers (British, Dutch, Indian & Australian) who lost their lives while building the bridge and constructing the nortorious Death Railway, which the Japanese had hoped would reach all the way to the Burmese border.
The cost then was Baht 1,050,00 and included lunch.
Tours can be booked from the hotel or from the numerous travel agencies around.

Address: Near the town of Kanchanaburi
