TAZ Records is a shop loaded with records. I know the small shop in Grafton street, where every corner was used. Especially the 45 rpm section stroke me. There was a hidden spoken word/comedy album section.

Revisited the shop in 2006 when is had moved to Gottingen street. The amazing collection still was there. The owner died in 2005, but the dedicated personnel continued the shop for the heirs. Getting things on order is a daily routine, but searching flexible records was a not your every day challenge. I got excellent support and found some more!
In the backroom there was a special country section. I even came across a BIG Tanner Library collection (sigh!).

In 2007 a new owner took over and the shop moved to Market street (at the back of the first location), which I visited in 2008. There are still gems at the back room and I have to come back for the 45-ers (a little hidden).

Furthermore there are CD's on sale.

What to buy: Wonderful old stuff. For you to discover.

What to pay: Albums from CAD 10.00; 45 RPM 5.00 (in general).

During one of my visits there was an action week: The shop payed the sales tax!
