  Sapa Town, Vietnam

Sapa was one of the highlights of my trip. The countryside is amazing and the town is small and picturesque with beautiful botanical gardens and a colourful market. Sapa is home to the Hmong and Zao hilltribe people and you will encounter many of them in Sapa as they try to sell you their handmade jewellery or clothing.

Directions: I think the best way to reach Sapa is by overnight train from Hanoi. Sapa is located 250kms north of Hanoi in the Hoang Lien Mountains.
