"Powder Tower" Prague Favorite Tip by yooperprof

Favorite thing: The original medieval tower located on this site was used as a laboratory by 16th century alchemists such as Edward Kelley and John Dee, both of whom were attracted to the mystical Prague of Rudolf II. Those warlike Swedes used the warehouse as an ammunition dump during the Thirty Years War, and it blew up. The current structure is a 17th century restoration, and features an interesting museum highlighting some of Rudolf's various interests.
