Is this a Tex mex restaurant ?

It's one of those "must do" things, although I'm not sure if it really ought to go in the "Tourist trap" section.

The Long bar still serves the Famous Singapore sling, served by a barman who makes Tom Cruise in the film "Cocktail" look like an amateur.
It is however a little dissapointing that a liquidizer is also used these days.

It nowadays cost $16 for sling or $25 with the glass. You can also buy just the glass for just over $10, which is cheaper than in the Raffles shop.

The bar still has a certain ambiance however, with the floor covered in monkey nut shells and seats covered in the New rich from all four corners of the world accompanied by various bleached blonde creations.

The worst feature was the rows of mechanically operated fans overhead which looked like thay had been saved from a themed Tex-Mex restaurant in Arizona.

Dress Code: Surprisngly liberal - noted a few long shorts and trainers, but being British one has to dress up and keep standards up old boy, what ?

Address: Raffles hotel
Theme: Eating and Drinking
